Still on track, but a little waver !

Yesterday.....

5 portions of fruit & veg tick
On Plan tick(ish)
Really good all day, had dinner at work as planned then went to the gym and did a really good spinning class and then went in the gym for over an hour. Beat my personal best on the rower for 2000m. (9.14) Dont really know hoe good it is, but it is the best time I have done, and I have seen and improvement down from 11.25mins.

Nipped in to tesco on the way home, brought all on plan food, including Mullerlights, which are 4 for £1 at the moment. Got home and had syn free sausages and salad. All going great guns, decided to have 2 pieces of chocolate, as used quite a few syns on my roast dinner at lunch time.

The phone rang, ended up chatting for over an hour, in which time I had ate the rest of the chocolate. Really annoyed with my self, as didn't even enjoy it as wasn't paying attention to eating it

But today is another day and I am not going to let that bog me down, so I am aiming to stay syn free all day today and have some nice lamb chops for my tea tonight.

Tuesday A better week this week

Much better for the lifestyle change today. Stayed syn free all day, normal breakfast of eggy bread and fresh tomatoes, on warburtons healthy inside bread. Tuesday was a green day, as it was Jacket potatoes at work for lunch, so i had a large baked bean and cheese Jacket potato. 2 apples and a mullerlight yogurt.
Went to the gym and worked very hard by doing two spinning classes, the first one was not as hard as the second, as the normal instructor was not there for the first class.
Came home and had a noodle stir fry and I even weighed out 112g of chicken, i did have some prawn crackers with it but had them as my syns, and two small pieces of chocolate. Then had a bowl of syn free rice pudding with blackcurrents and blackberries. Managed to use all my milk so couldn't have a cuppa ! but it didn't matter as I was fast on by half 10.

All in all a good day on plan, and lots of exercise done.

Today I have booked in for Spinning then to a session in the gym with Claire.
Its Roast Dinner at work for lunch, so I will use my syns for that today then have a light tea when I get home tonight.
I hope this is not all too boring, but it does help to write these things down, and I really want to loose this last (hardest) 33lb ... well 33½ now with my small gain this week !

Weigh In Week 60

It was Slimming World class last night, our normal leader is off with a bad back, so we had Tanja, she is just as nice as Jane, and the good thing about tanja is that she has lost 9 stone, so she has had a similar journey to me. A very small gain of ½lb. Not too worried with that after a 5½lb loss last week and three meals out and a takeaway. I did work very hard over the weekend though by keeping my syns right down and making sure that I kept the exercisie levels up even though I had been at a show, and felt knackered Sunday night. I was very strict all the days when I had a meal out and stayed syn free till the meal out, so I also think that helped.

No nights out this week so I am going to the gym as much as I can and being very good foodwise. I want to get back in the routine of losses. I have 33½lb to go to my target in 20 weeks which is an average or 1.65lb per week. I am hoping for a few good weeks to bring the average down to a lb a week.

Spinning tonight, then not sure what to do after that, may do double spin, or aerobics or the gym. May even go home and go for a run walk (my run walks at this stage have a lot of walk in them, as i have a week knee that should improve the more weight I loose, allthough I would have thought with loosing 8 stone i would have noticed more of a difference by now)

I am really motivated this week and there is nothing to stop in my way of getting a 2lb weight loss, and maybe start to get back on the loss train !!!!

Another Night Out

Another meal out tonight, I know it is really nice to go out and I do appreciate that I have a good bunch of friends that like to go out, and like nice places to eat, but why does everything all seem to fall in the same week.
It thwarts the diet plans, but hey ho thats how it is, next week the diary is blank apart from gym classes booked, and another reflexology session, so next week looks good for the diet.
But that aside I am really looking forward to my night out with the girls tonight, haven't seen them all together for ages, I hope they will notice that I have lost some more weight. I have been on plan all day at work, no syns at all but plenty of food. I have no bad meals planned at the weekend, just got to stay away from the ice cream on Sunday, which if the weathe is nice will be very tempting .
I have booked two exercise classes over the weekend aswell , one I will definately be doing, but Sundays I may not be able to fit in.

I think if i keep on plan over the weekend the best I can hope for at weigh in on Monday is a maintain, which I will be happy with as I had a 5½lb loss last week.

Reflexology

A few weeks ago I won a voucher for a reflexology session in a raffle. Well I went last night, it was lovely. I had read up about reflexology on the internet a little before going, and it can improve muscle tone and circulation, so I am hoping that it will help my fat legs !!! This is the one thing i really aim to change wih the last 33lb i need to loose.
I have been doing lots of exercise and loads on the legs, hence the backside has dissapeared... well nearly, but i still have fat knees and fat calves. I know I am making progress but they look worse now as they are a bit lumpy and wobbly !!! Does any one have any advice at all ???

I have booked a couple of sessions for the reflexology, so will have to see if that helps, if not it is some valuable me time .....

Diet wise yesterday was a good day right up till 10pm, when I had 10 pringles .... which would have been fine if I didn't have another 10 then another then another !!!! I wasn't able to exercise after the reflexology, which was a bit dissapointing, but that was some way responsible for the intake of pringles, that and my momentary lack of self control.

Back on plan with a vengence this morning, meal out tonight so I am staying syn free all day to save them for tonight. Also spinning before my night out, which will help.

The Journey So Far

I Started my Slimming World journey on the 4th June 2007, with my friend Michelle. It was yet another diet started with good intentions, as they all have been over the years, never dreamt that 14months down the line I would still be on it. On Monday Night I achieved a total loss so far of 8 stone, and I have set my first real major target, i have little targets all the way through as i never really thought I would get to a realistic one. But that is the beauty of slimming world there is no need to set targets, its one week at a time, which for a previously failed dieter like me is great.

It hasn't been easy, and I have started this blog as another way to help keep me on track and get me to target. What is my target, you may be thinking well it is another 2 stone and 5lbs, which is 33lbs, which i would like to loose before Christmas. I don't think it is too unrealistic, but it will be tough with how far I have come. But I really do want this.

I havent been the perfect dieter, and when I go off track i do seem to go with a bang. I am a food lover, and I think thats why slimming world suits me. I am a food optimising convert. I now also actually go to the gym as well, I wont say that i love it, cause I am going for a purpose, but I am going to carry on even if i get to target, cause i know this has to be a lifestyle change not a fad, and on some occasions i even enjoy it.

So that was a bit more about me and my journey so far, I welcome any comments and advice, and I will post some pictures soon.

Hopefull the first of many !!

I have finally decided to join the world of Blogging. I joined to start with so that I could post comments on other peoples blogs, which I have found very interesting over the past few months. So I thought it was time to give it a try. I may be dull at times but then that is life.
